Help answer the question about business phone listing
A business that has no listing address can you get information from? just the business phone #?I stupidly gave a scammer money as a deposit. The thing is I signed no contract but the FAKE REALTOR is telling me I have to wait a week to get my money back and I'm afraid she will be long gone in a week. I found this person through a newspaper advertising and all have is their name(which could be fake), a business phone # (which gives no addr listing) and the susposely realtor cell phone #. Anyone have any advice. I can't afford an attorney & they wont give you a consultation unless you pay for that too.

Superpages.com or Whitepages.com. Look at the tabs at top of page to decide what type of lookup you need. Works for me almost everytime.
you can do a reverse look up. If it is not a cell phone you can do it for free on certain websites like the whitepages.com. You will have to pay for one to a cell phone. The only thing it can do is tell you the phone company info like AT&T or Verison….

I don't understand, what question are you looking to answer? Deals must have gone out of business, or they wouldn't have given up the phone number. They used to offer the best used deep fat fryers, great french fries and the occasional oven. They were a sweet operation, pleasant to deal with, but let's face it, how could they survive in the current environment?
~~why not contact those local business, and offer the service to them, they may be more than willing to help, and possibly send you small ad's that they had layed up for the phone book as well~~
Contact the management of the newspaper. If you were scammed by this advertisement, chances are you aren't the only one. The newspaper might have contact information for the person who placed the ad. If the newspaper won't give you the information, talk to the police.
